Fresh Seafood Experience
A 2-hour gastronomic experience at a working oyster and mussel farm in the Bay of Kotor. You board the boat from your nearest dock, cruise through the inner bay to one of the bay's traditional floating shellfish farms, and dock alongside. Your hosts pull oysters and mussels straight from the ropes underneath you, shuck and steam them on the spot, and serve them with fresh bread and a glass of local Montenegrin white wine. This is how the bay's seafood has been eaten for centuries — informal, hyper-fresh, and impossible to recreate in any restaurant. Pricing is per person and includes your portion of mussels and oysters, the wine, and the bread.
Is this tour right for you?
Best for food lovers, couples, and small groups who want to experience the bay through food rather than sightseeing. Group size 1–8 guests. Important note: this tour is built around shellfish, so vegetarians and anyone with shellfish allergies should pick a different tour. The route stays in the sheltered inner bay, so the ride is calm even on breezier days.

Frequently asked questions
What's included in the per-person price?
A portion of fresh mussels and oysters straight from the farm, a glass of local Montenegrin white wine, and fresh bread. The boat, fuel, captain, and life jackets are also included as standard.
How is the price calculated?
Per person, not per boat — because the food and wine portions scale with the group. Message us on WhatsApp with your group size and we'll quote you the exact price.
Min and max group size?
From 1 to 8 guests. We run this tour for solo travellers all the way up to a full boat of 8.
I don't eat shellfish — is there an alternative?
This tour is built specifically around the shellfish farm experience, so it's not a great fit for non-shellfish eaters. We'd recommend our Perast or Blue Cave tours instead, and you can always combine those with a meal at a Bay of Kotor restaurant of your choice.
Which farm do we visit?
We use one of several partner farms across the bay, depending on the day and conditions. Each is a traditional small-scale family operation — the exact farm we go to on the day will be confirmed when you book.
Is the boat ride rough?
No — the entire route stays inside the sheltered inner Bay of Kotor. The water there is calm year-round (unlike the open sea), so the ride is smooth and easy even for first-time boaters.
