Full Bay Discovery - private boat tour in Bay of Kotor Montenegro

Full Bay Discovery

6 hours from 480€ per boat

A full-day private boat tour built around what you want to see. The classic version covers everything: Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks in the inner bay, then onward to the Yugoslav submarine tunnel, a panoramic loop of Mamula Island, the Blue Cave itself, and a long beach-and-lunch stop at Žanjic — or a different combination if you prefer. The itinerary is flexible: tell your captain your priorities (history, swimming, food, photos) and he'll shape the day around them. A lunch stop is built into the schedule, but the meal itself is at your expense — we usually recommend Ribarsko selo near Žanjic for fresh fish with a panoramic view, though any waterfront restaurant on the route works. Six hours, private to your group, from €480 per boat for up to 6 guests.

Is this tour right for you?

Best for travellers who want everything in one day — families, couples on a longer holiday, or groups celebrating a special occasion. The itinerary is yours to shape: tell us your priorities and the captain builds the day around them. Private to your group, welcome for kids from 2 years up. From €480 per boat for up to 6 guests, +€20 per additional up to 8.

Tour Itinerary

1

Inner bay — Perast & Our Lady of the Rocks

Pickup from your dock, then a scenic cruise through the inner bay to Our Lady of the Rocks (church visit, museum, €5 per person entrance paid on island) and the baroque town of Perast (typically a 1-hour walking break).

2

Outer bay — Submarine Tunnel, Mamula & Blue Cave

Cruise into the Yugoslav-era submarine tunnel, circle Mamula Island fortress for a panoramic view (no stop — Banyan Tree hotel), then enter the Blue Cave to see the electric-blue interior and swim just outside.

3

Beach + lunch at Žanjic

Long stop at Žanjic Beach — swim in turquoise water and have lunch at a beachside restaurant. We recommend Ribarsko selo for fresh fish and panoramic bay views. Lunch is at your expense.

4

Scenic return with swim stops

Cruise back through the bay with additional swimming and photo stops at quiet coves your captain knows. Total day is around 6 hours but the captain adjusts to your pace.

Frequently asked questions

How many guests can join the Full Bay Discovery?

Up to 8 guests total. The €480 base price covers up to 6; each additional guest above 6 is €20, with a maximum of 8 onboard. Price is per boat, not per person.

Is lunch included in the price?

No — lunch is at your expense. We typically dock at Žanjic Beach where there are several beachside restaurants. Our favourite is Ribarsko selo, which has fresh fish straight off the boat and a panoramic view of the bay. Budget €20–€50 per person depending on what you order.

Can we customise the itinerary?

Yes — that's the point of the full-day tour. The classic route covers Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks, the submarine tunnel, Mamula, the Blue Cave and Žanjic Beach, but you can shift the balance: more swimming stops, less history, a longer lunch, a sunset return. Tell your captain when you board.

Do we get swimming stops?

Yes — multiple. Outside the Blue Cave, at Žanjic, and at quiet coves on the way back. Your captain knows the best spots for clear water and shade and adjusts the stops to your group's pace.

How long do we get in Perast?

Typically a full hour — enough time for a coffee on the waterfront, a walk through the old town, and photos of the baroque palaces. Like everything on this tour, it's flexible — tell the captain if you want longer (or shorter).

What if we want to cancel last minute?

You don't pay anything in advance, so there's no cancellation fee. If you change your plans, just let us know. If the captain decides the weather is unsafe, we reschedule at no charge.
