Perast & Our Lady of the Rocks
This is the quickest way to see the two icons of the inner Bay of Kotor — Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks — without rushing either. Your private speedboat departs from any safe dock in the bay (Kotor, Tivat, Prčanj, Dobrota, even Herceg Novi or Risan on request) and follows the sheltered inner-bay coastline past medieval villages and dramatic mountain walls. After about 20 minutes on the water, you'll step onto Our Lady of the Rocks, the only artificial island in the Adriatic — built by Perast sailors over five centuries by dropping a rock every safe return home. You'll have 20 minutes to explore the baroque church with its 68 Tripo Kokolja paintings and the small museum of maritime votive offerings. From there it's a short hop to Perast itself, where you get a full hour to wander the car-free old town, grab a coffee on the waterfront, and photograph the palaces that built one of the Adriatic's wealthiest 18th-century merchant fleets. Then a scenic cruise back. Two hours, one private boat, two of Montenegro's most striking sights — at your pace, with your captain.
Is this tour right for you?
Best for couples, families with kids (we welcome guests from 2 years and up), and anyone who wants the bay's two postcard moments without committing to a full-day tour. Your captain speaks English and shares the legend behind each stop. The route stays in the sheltered inner bay, so the water is calm even on breezier days — comfortable for first-time boaters.
Tour Itinerary
Pickup from your location in the bay
We collect you at the nearest safe dock or marina to your accommodation — Kotor, Prčanj, Dobrota, Tivat, or anywhere else in the bay. Tell us where you're staying when booking and the captain will meet you there.
Our Lady of the Rocks Island (20 min)
Step onto the iconic man-made island. Explore the baroque church, see the Tripo Kokolja paintings, and visit the maritime museum. Church entrance is €5 per person, paid on the island (not included in the tour price).
Perast Old Town (1 hour)
A full hour to wander the car-free baroque town. Grab a coffee or local rakija on the waterfront, walk past the 17 palaces, and photograph the bay from one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Montenegro.
Scenic return journey
Cruise back along the inner bay with photo opportunities from a completely different angle — the towns now backlit, the mountains rising behind you, and the bay opening up as you return.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can join the Perast tour?
Up to 8 guests total. The €150 base price covers up to 6; each additional guest above 6 is €20, with a maximum of 8 onboard. The price is per boat, not per person.
Are children welcome on the boat tour?
Yes — we welcome guests from 2 years and up. Adult and child life jackets are provided. The inner bay has calm, sheltered water, so the 2-hour route is comfortable even for young kids.
How long do we spend on Our Lady of the Rocks?
About 20 minutes — enough to explore the baroque church, see Tripo Kokolja's 68 paintings, and visit the small museum. There is a €5-per-person church entrance fee paid on the island; it is not included in the tour price.
How much time do we get in Perast itself?
A full hour. That's enough to have a coffee on the waterfront, walk through the main square, and photograph the baroque palaces at an unhurried pace. If you want longer, tell your captain — the schedule is flexible.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The captain decides based on safety. If conditions are unsafe (high winds, storms), we reschedule your tour at no charge. Light rain is usually fine — we adjust the route to stay in the sheltered inner bay.
Can you pick us up from outside Kotor?
Yes. We collect guests from any safe dock or marina across the bay — Tivat, Herceg Novi, Risan, Prčanj, Dobrota and Perast itself are all on offer. Tell us your accommodation when booking and we'll arrange the closest pickup.
Just need a ride to Perast, not a tour?
If you only want a quick one-way or return transfer (no museum stop, no church visit) we run a dedicated Kotor ↔ Perast boat taxi — 20 minutes door-to-door, on request, per boat.
